“It’s my job to hold a mirror up and support you in learning skills to become your own coach, whenever you need to be.”

- Adrienne Bonell, Leadership Coach

About me.

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, I am a leadership coach based in Tāmaki Makaurau with over twenty years’ experience in commercial marketing and helping organisations create high-performing teams both as a leader and coach.

After completing International Coaching Federation accredited training in the UK, I ran my own practice in London before moving to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2008. I returned to coaching part-time in 2018 and my clients include large corporates, SME’s, media and entertainment organisations, Not For Profits and individuals committed to making long-lasting positive changes. I also enjoy working with a group of like-minded partners in the Coaching Development and Leadership Space.

In my experience, a coach’s role is to run alongside helping you to figure out where you want to go, and to work together to create easy to use tools that will allow you to achieve noticeable improvements quickly. It’s my job to hold a mirror up and support you in learning skills to become your own coach whenever you need to be. That could mean helping you stay focused in tough times, developing a technique to always find common ground when working with others no matter your differences, or simply learning how to better self-coach.

In 2020 I completed further training with the New Zealand Institute of Coaching in Transformational Coaching, a style of coaching that focuses on helping individuals to better understand what motivates them personally and how to use that insight to achieve goals while remaining true to your values.
